The toolkit offers a selection of communication tools for the facilitator to plan and deliver compelling workshops and actively engage with young people.

There is no set format for the use of the tools. This challenges the facilitator to innovate through endless combinations of activities and spatial arrangements, until determining how to communicate the workshop content in the best possible way.

The activities tools have been designed to allow the workshop facilitator to structure the workshop in accordance with activities which stimulate conversation, teamwork and individual input.

The facilitator chooses tools from the categor(y/ies) which best reflect each segment of the workshop. Aside from the activities tools, there are space tools which suggest how the arrangement (or simply rearrangement) of a space can influence the effectiveness of a workshop and the activities within it. Once the facilitator is decided on the workshop structure, a board, contained in the toolkit, is used to layout the workshop.

The communication tools are objects, which can be found in the facilitator’s close environment such as tape, torches, post-it notes which are used in a new context.
